Here's to You

Written By: Daniel Kensy

I came home this morning
And opened up the door
Much to my suprise
Were some boxes on the floor
It seems that she's been packing
But not a trace of her is here
Just a note upon the table
Next to a six pack of beer

It said, if you want to drink
Here's to you
Here's to all the things that you can do
If you want to toast
Well I've gotta few words you can use
If you want to drink
Here's to you

I can't believe
That I've been so wrong
I put something else in her place
What have I done
Live and learn
What can I say
I wish she'd find it in her heart
To give me one more day

Now something in this bottle
Doesn't seem to work
It just can't hide the tears
Or take away the hurt
Maybe she was right
Or maybe she was wrong
But the one thing that I can see
Is the fact that she is gone.....

Here's To You and The Jerk
