"Local Band "Doing All Things With Love...Again""

16 years later, 3 members of Spike Opera rise from the ashes of a burnt out music scene in mid-Ohio...nearly 16 years have passed and on May 16th, 2009...Cedez Violin performed for the very first time. The venue of choice, Club Panama...a supporter of live local original music for 25_ years that needed to raise over $2,300 to keep their doors open. Well with Cedez hitting the stage they did just that...by midnight. Hundreds filled the small club. The 30 minute plus wait for a drink was for good reason. They were at the biggest show this place has ever seen...this place being the club.

Lasers, fog, and blinders blow the lid off as the opened with Flamingo Rain. A powerful instrumental with tempo changes galore. After the song was over the crowd literaly went wild...no seriously, they went wild.

Guitarist Troy Cromwell said after teh show, "Our hometown has definently embraced us, but nowhere else really knows who we are, so we're gonna change that." They're currently booking dates through the Fall 09' calendar before going in the studio to work on a new double length album. "We're extremely excited about playing live again, but we can't wait to start writing so we can erase these 16 years apart from one another."

Back in the day, their chemistry was fueled by chemicals. That's no longer the case, they're all grown up now and have a lot of lost time to make up for. "This is now a business, not a party. We're going to work hard to play hard."

They're planning a benefit show later this summer for a women's shelter in the area, Project Woman. Working alongside Troy's record label www.sunsetrecords.org. "We want to give back to our community, we've got to pay it forward."

Bio

Cedez Violin originally formed in 1993 after three members of the late 80's/early 90's thrash metal band Spike Opera disbanned. Doug Brown, Troy Cromwell and Kenny Wells wanted to experiment musically outside the walls that confined them for nearly a decade. They had chemistry and wrote strong...however, shortly after recording a 9 song demo they to inevitably chose different pathways.

Now, 16 short years later they've regrouped and remastered their 1993 demo tape to CD. Titled "Do All Things With Love", their music still has substance in 2009. Comparisons to a "heavier" Pink Floyd , "vintage" Jane's Addiction and even "old" Slayer seem to be the buzz while still keeping a uniqueness to their sound. Imagine Ace Frehley guitar tones, Geddy Lee bass lines, and Dave Lombardo skins...Cedez Violin has soul...and lots of it.

They'll be scheduling show dates throughout the spring, summer and fall of 2009. Future plans include writing/recording a double length CD for an early 2010 release. Then tour hard until something beautiful happens.

This band is tried and true, with over two decades of paying dues the hard way...they've been close but not close enough. They realize it's a long way to the top "if you wanna rock n' roll"...but insist they will work hard and play hard, and will not disappoint live.
