Celeste Babb Laribo is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. She is the second youngest of seven children born to Rev. Dr. Morgan Babb and his lovely wife, Lorall. Being surrounded by music and ministry all of her life, she was destined to continue the legacy that was gifted to her by her parents.

Celeste began singing publicly at the age of six with the Kings Lane Elementary School band, performing such popular songs as “Oh Happy Day.” At age twelve, she began playing the piano and directing the King Solomon Baptist Church choir. She also sang with a number of groups during her school years, to include the JOY Singers of Maplewood High School. During her college years, Celeste worked at her father’s radio station, WMDB, for over five years and hosted a weekend broadcast for almost two years. She later became one of the original members of Veritus (formerly Verity), a Nashville-based music ministry under the leadership of Fred Vaughn.

While Celeste has been in church all of her life, it was not until she developed a more personal relationship with Jesus Christ that she began to understand God’s call on her life to minister not only in song, but also in Word. Because of her passion for Kingdom-building, she spends a great deal of time in ministry developing, equipping and edifying leaders. She has a heart for youth, particularly the children of ministry leaders.

Celeste received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Tennessee State University in Nashville. She received her Master of Business Administration from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Throughout her career, she has been a member of a number of professional and community service organizations. She is a 2001 graduate of Leadership Charleston, also sponsored by the Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce. She is currently employed as the Pupil Accounting Officer of the Charleston County School District.

Celeste is married to Pastor Shann Laribo of The Net International Ministries, Inc. in Summerville, South Carolina where God has commissioned this multi-cultural church to “unify the body of Christ for the end-time harvest.” She is an ordained Elder and serves as the Associate Pastor of The Net. She and her husband are blessed with two precious daughters, Shannon and Sydney. The Laribos reside in Ladson, South Carolina.

Within the past few years, Celeste combined her love for music, performance and working with other artists to establish Cellestial Productions, LLC. This entertainment company provides support to independent artists who have a desire to achieve excellence at a level comparable to industry standards.
