Celso Espejo Rondalla

The Celso Espejo Rondalla was formed in 2002 in response to a need to revive the rondalla tradition in the Philippines.

So far, the group has performed to various key events in the country. It has receive numerous standing ovations in its performances, notably, the 1st International Rondalla Festival held at Naga City in Bicol Region and Cuerdas sa Panaghiusa: The 2nd International Rondalla Festival in Dumaguete City, Negros.

Our music is ranges from classical to folk and world music. We have performed various adaptations of classical music to rondalla such as the works of Rossini and Korsakov, as well as contemporary compositions for the rondalla.
