The best kept secret in music
Press
'INDIE POP' is an oft-malaligned and over-used term bandied about lately. Yet, for the dynamic four-piece from Oakland County, such terms would apply.
Centrifuge has that D.I.Y. sensibility in their spartan production values. However their music and sound is very inventive and unique. The phrase "progressive pop" comes to mind.
The songs are very structured and catchy while, at the same time, unorthodox and unpredictable. They're not afraid to throw in a odd-metered beat or complex cord if it serves the song in some way.
The title track will literally come out and grab you by the ears, with a hook that won't let go. Other delights include the moody stream-of-consciousness "Freedom," the raucous and melodic "Easy Bake," "Reoccurring Dream"'s thoughful and mellow lyricism, and the slight flamenco feel of "Lana," and on and on.
Suffice to say, Centrifuge is a band who pushes the rock and pop envelope, not with vacuous nonsense and mindless swagger, but with intelligent songs, solid musicianship and substantive style! - Jam Rag

Bio
We have been influenced by numerous artists including Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Queens of the Stone Age, Iggy Pop, Primus, etc. What sets us apart from other bands are two things - we have great musicians, solid songs and we emphasize dynamics.
