Bio
CEREMONY: Five piece rock band from Australia are hailed by critics and audiences alike.
Ceremony’s musical style and sonic landscape is the melodic guitar driven rock of Tuki and Tim combined with the lock-tight rhythm section of Squirty and Brad, laying the foundation for the gem vocals and stage presence of front man Cameron Brown to create an electrifying aural and visual experience. The emotion, power and passion they deliver in their live performance combined with catchy and commercial lyrical and musical hooks, synergize to create the signature sound and appeal of Ceremony.
Ceremony entered Modern Music recording studios in Brisbane with former ARIA Producer of the Year, Peter Blyton (Choirboys, BB Steal, Divinyls) to commence work on their debut album. The production skills of Peter Blyton, ably assisted by Stuart Niven, combined with the band’s enthusiasm and energy, has resulted in a debut album of great songs from power rock through to melodic mid tempo ballads.
The band signed a distribution deal with MRA Entertainment ( Australia’s largest independent distributor)
Ceremony is represented exclusively (North America) by A/R Group International and have signed with independent label Pound Hill (Canada).
A/R Group International is currently re-mastering the album and shopping the band to labels and distributors (Major & Indy) and creating an intense tour of Canada and the US. Two videos will be pushed to MTV, Much Music and Canadian Music TV in North America when the album is released worldwide in March 2007. A FULL line of Ceremony merchandise is available.
Ceremony’s debut video was directed by Chris Fitzgibbon (RATM, Divinyls) and filmed by cinematographer Mark Bliss on location at the historic landmark Boggo Road Jail in Brisbane. This former penal institution was the perfect setting for the "Seventh Wonder" video shoot. The "Filthy Grudge" video was filmed on location at a fine exotic entertainment establishment. Both videos are a must see for industry professionals considering Ceremony for their rosters. The band is destined to create a major impact on the international music scene. Their growing number of fans is a testament to the rapid development of this great rock band that just loves getting on a stage and putting on an amazing show.
A comprehensive distribution, marketing, merchandise and touring strategy is being agressively developed.
