Chad Martin

Chad Martin is an original rock singer song writer - born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio but alive in the Lower East Side of New York City. His song writing draws musically from numerous sources in classical and modern rock as well as blues and softer rock/folk. But originality sets in when one listens to his trademark of frequent, yet seamless changes achieved by combining a dynamic array of movements with catchy, imposing melodies and transitions. Lyrically, Chad is influenced primarily by great American poets and selected modern musical artists. However, his own unique use of imagery and multi-layered symbolism clearly separates his material from that his influences. In his writing, Chad likes to bolster his figurative language by challenging the listener with unusual, yet intriguing comparisons to bring out the ideas and concepts he strives to communicate in his songs. After years of songwriting and performing, Chad finally began professionally recording his work with Joe Rogers at Silence Breaks Studios in October of 2008. The 5 song EP "Live Oak Growing" was released at his concert on December 5, 2009 and is available on iTunes.
