Bio
Saved at the age of 5 years old, Chad has had a wide range of experiences that has brought him to this point in his life at age of 27. Growing up in Charleston, WV, Chad was exposed to the amazing world of music at a very early age. With a father that has been an innovator in the Southern Gospel Music industry, performing for more than forty years, and a mother as a pianist. This has had a major impact on Chad’s life. At a young age, the journey began with performances opening up for his father publicly until the age of thirteen.
It was not until a couple of years ago that Chad went back to his roots seeking God’s calling in his life which in turn would change his life forever. As his spiritual life developed and became committed to God, he realized that if God had blessed him with a gift to sing and minister to people, he had a responsibility to use this gift. Being a member of the Bible Center Church in his hometown, Chad tried out for the choir, joined, and began taking voice lessons from Pastor of Worship Ministries, James McQuerrey.
Motivation has never been a problem for Chad because fulfilling God’s purpose in his life and spreading the Word of God through music to many people has become his focus and desire. Chad says, “When I see the way people respond and are encouraged as well as the positive changes that it makes in other people’s lives, I am driven to continue toward the goal of performing for God’s glory.” Chad acknowledges that his inspiration comes from communing with God, seeking His will in his own life, and studying the Bible, God’s Word. His focus is maintained by prayer and supplication. He also has found it important to stay grounded by surrounding himself with strong Christian friends and mentors.
His dedication to growing in his relationship with God as he continues this life journey is an inspiration to those around him. Knowing that God is using him is humbling and Chad wants to follow God’s purpose in his life. His standby promise is Isaiah 40:31: “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
