Chali-G's influences are Krs1, Big Daddy Kane, Organized Konfusion, Nwa, BigL, LLCoolJ, Tupac, Biggie, BoneThugz, and Twista. What sets him apart is his blatant musical ability and his message to uplift the urban community. Being born and raised in the city of Detroit he talks of his true life experiences without the fluff that many of the other artists in the hip-hop genre use as crutches in order to suceed. His music is inspired out of concern for the world and he uses his gift as a tool for positive change.
