"Big Mann Releases Liberty City Blues Pays Homage to a Legend on a Remake of a Classic"

Miami, FL (PRWEB) August 23, 2008 -- Obama was recently asked his top ten favorite songs, and of the ten songs, Marvin Gaye scored the 2nd place with "What's Goin' On" which appears to be consistent with his political views.

Marvin is also appearing in the Olympics commercials with his 1983 performance of the National Anthem during the 1983 NBA All Star Game. It looks like 2008 is the year for another artists' posthumous music and cultural icon.

This week Marvin's music was paid homage to by the hip hop artist Big Mann with his latest release "Liberty City Blues". "Liberty City Blues" updates Marvin Gayes classic "Trouble Man" This track reiterates the troubles living in this Miami Community.

Big Mann is a hip hop artist who is out of the Miami area. When asked to describe his smooth and real music style, he says:

"I like to call my music style "Neo Gangsta" since it is something you can vibe too and yet it remains street."

Big Mann's video for "Liberty City Blues" is shot in the Miami community, Liberty City.

"Everyone in hip hop is keeping a close watch on Miami because of the artist based out of Miami in the top 10 Hip Hop charts. I am fortunate enough to be based in Miami at the right time. It was only natural for me to write this track for Liberty City since I lived and spent a lot of time there." states Big Mann.

Big Mann is the first artist on the independent label, Dismas Music, LLC. You can view the "Liberty City Blues" video and listen to the track at http://www.dismasmusic.com.

Bio

My influences range from Otis Redding to Willie Colon. When I was a kid I would take my grandmothers 45 instrumentals and rap over them using headphones in the mic jack. I love good music period. The ability to make any kind of song is what sets me apart. Hip-hop is my base but I experiment will all types of music without fear.
I was a writer for EMI Latin artist Pilar Montenegro and Siudy Garrido. I co-wrote and featured on the Latin-American hit "Gypsy heart" the video was shot in east Harlem,NY. I also co-wrote and featured on the song "Magia" on the Pilar & Co. South Beach album which reached the top 10 on the Latin Billboard.
