Chandra Lacombe

Chandra Lacombe has revolutionized the kalimba by playing it with four fingers instead of two, turning the intrument into a lap piano using it to compose and arrange harmony and melody. His performance takes the audience to a journey of celestial sounds, healing hearts and minds.
With a new band set up featuring drum kit and electric guitar and a group of musicians from different backgrounds, music becomes a tool for spiritual upliftment delivering joy and ecstasy.
This is made possible by Lacombe´s unique ability on conducting high frequency energy through his voice and kalimba, reinforced by the deep musical and spiritual connection amongst his musicians. This connection has been developed thanks to experience and in over a decade dedicated to Brazilian Shamanism. On the performance, musicianship and spirituality go hand in hand blending Brazilian Regional Music, MPB, Indian Mantras and Western Grooves.
As such, repertoire is selected in order to put the audience on the right energy track. In a number of shows, the band witnessed no applauses after songs as the audience was in deep meditative state.
The concert starts on introspective mantras evolving towards celebrative beats like brazilian Frevo where the lower frequency of drums and bass guitar takes the audience off the seats to dance and raise hands with the high frequencies of voice, flute, kalimba and guitar.
Chandra Lacombe has performed in countries like Germany, Norway, Costa Rica, Israel and United states to name a few.
