For All Those Late Nights

Written By: Chantilly Reign

Summer sun risin’
I’m agonizin’, Cause you’re so appetizin’
Park benches, three wishes
And all your butterfly kisses

I got an A in mathematics
I understand kinematics
But I never had a clue
Bout all those crazy things you new
But you’re good at teachin
So keep on preachin
And I’ll make our world so lovely
With those crazy things you taught me

Like learning to fly
Without a plane
Making the moonlight stars rain
Watching the fireflies dance
Catching the sea breeze in our hands
Staring down your blue eyes
Making up alibis
For all those late, late, late nights

Once upon a white wine
I get those shivers down my spine
And I think back to that time
There was you and me
The sand the sea
And nothing in between

There was a man on the moon
He sang a country love tune
And he shown so bright
For all the lovers out that night
Now I can’t forget those words you said
I love you, now let me show you

It’s like learning to fly
Without a plane
Making the moonlight stars rain
Watching the fireflies dance
Catching the sea breeze in our hands
Staring down your blue eyes
Making up alibis
For all those late, late, late nights

Now we can’t go back
But why would we even want that
When our lives are like

Learning to fly
Without a plane
Making the moonlight stars rain
Watching the fireflies dance
Catching the sea breeze in our hands
Staring down your blue eyes
Making up alibis
For all those late, late, late nights

The Right Road

Written By: Chantilly Reign

Eighteen, Without a care,
As long as I was on, the highway to somewhere.
Cuz @ the end of the road, I could go right, or left, But
How could I choose, when neither was the best.

And I could not turn around,
Because to my pride I was bound,
All I could do was turn up, that radio song,
And pray, I’d been on the right road, all along.

I hit the brake lights, but I don’t slow down, I just
Keep on passing, through those sleepy looking towns,
Am I going East, or West
And does it matter if this heart of mine will never rest
Wonderin’ where I went wrong
But I’m happy…..yeah
So I must have been on the right road, all along

Well I was just passing through,
So I took a detour, at age 22, caught a
Sweet summer wind, that carried my broken soul,
When it, was on the mend, and my
Headlights, were bright, and there were no
U-turns, or exits in sight, so I
Drove it like I owned it,
And I felt strong,
But I just prayed, I’d stayed on the right road, all along

And when the front wheels,
Hit the dirt road,
Well I could tell,
That I was home….
Then I knew, I’d been on the right road, all along

Sip It Up

Written By: Chantilly Reign

Made it through the day, now I’m thinking bout what to drink tonight
I want it to go down, just right
Let’s make it hard, let’s make it sweet,
Cause in the end, all that’s left are the stories

So pour out the red wine
Make it Bacardi, and lime
How bout a frozen margarita, mmmMama Mia
I’ll be sippin sangri, i, aaaaa

Chorus

So sip it up
Sip it up
Sip it up bop bop, bad a bop ba dad op
Sip it up……Yeah yeah
I’ll be sippin it up, sippin it up tonight

So take your time, enjoy the comfort of that fire place, but don’t stay, too long
You gotta, brave the storm, defeat the ice, the cold if you’re gonna finish, your song
Just buckle down and do it
Aint nothing to it when there’s dreams and opportunity too
No one can wait on you, we got things to do
While we can, still drink from the fountain of youth

Chorus

Bridge

Now the sun is fallin
The night is callin me to, to the stars
And that’s where I”ll aim, for if it all falls through
I still might make the moon

Outro

Na na na na na na na na na nana
Lalalalalalalalaa
Sip it up, yeah yeah
I’m off to sip it up

Park Bench Avenue

Written By: Chantilly Reign

I’ve been going day to day
Just trying to find my way
Down a path where no one’s gone
With just a guitar and a song

It’s been an early rise, tired eyes
That keep waking up to a great sunrise
Then it’s, late again, coffee @ midnight
But I love these days cuz I don’t always have to be right

Chorus

I’ve got these golden years
To conquer my silver fears
With a bronze set of strings
That keep these wheels a changing gears
(To help me through these evenings)

Keep my dreams in the spotlight
So they’re always in sight
But park bench avenue’s, where I’m playing tonight
(Is where I’m playing for you)

V2

I look both ways before I cross the street
It’s kinda nice just travelin’ on my feet
Don’t know where I’m going, but I’m on my way
Keeping faith in the future and yesterday

When Times get tough, I’ll see it through
Time always tells me what to do
Keep the best of luck, on my side
And I’ll face the world with my arms, open wide

Chorus

Bridge

Here’s to all of those, who joined in our song
And all of those, that love to tag along….

Thirsty Thursday

Written By: Chantilly Reign

It was a Thursday…..a thirstiest of Thursdays
And the local star Damon was playing downtown
So we went down, to the slowdown, and ordered up a round
And he sang it’s gonna be a good night, and about that, he was right
We started dancing, then singing along and before we knew it, the after party was on

Chorus

Now I wake up
Smeared make up
Feeling like I’ve been tanked up
And there’s no time, last night’s jeans will have to do
Just gotta find my shoes
I pull my crazy hair back, I’m out the door, looking like I just scored

That’s how my Thirsty Thursday thinking meets this Freaky Friday grunge look

V2

Well surely this camera will tell us how our lovely night ended
Oh yep, there’s me, double fisted
On the shoulders of that guy in the front row……oh no
And what, on Earth, am I doing there musta been a double dog dare……

Chorus

Bridge

And he sang it’s gonna be a good night
Yeah he sang it’s gonna be a good night
It’s gonna be a good night , it’s gonna be a good night
It was a good night, It was a good night, It was a good night

Chorus
