Chapa Dux is a band from Sintra, Portugal, with a sound strongly marked by the balance of Reggae, the vivacity of Ska and the consciousness of Dub jamming.
This junction of rhythms has been explored since 2008 by its 8 band members who grew up influenced by different music styles.
Its most recent work, Infinitree, released in July 2011, took a year to develop from seed to fruit, featuring some of the biggest names in the national scene as Papa Juju of TerraKota and Kiko of Kumpania Algazarra. Our songs talk about the current society common problems, transmitting a strong message of union. The energy contained within the sound of change was the main reason to engage with our fans in the beginning.
With only 3 years, the band has already played on some of the biggest national music festivals, alongside with lots of gigs in other small and iconic venues.
