Bio

Following the release of their critically acclaimed first album in Canada, Chapeaumelon's catchy French songs have been featured in various films and TV shows including MTV's The Hills, Las Vegas, Ghost Whisperer and many more. One of their biggest hit, a French cover of The Who's "My Generation," was also featured on the album soundtrack and the opening credit of Dreamwork's film Eurotrip.

The Montreal-based band has also performed live at various festivals and venues across Canada.

Chapeaumelon (the French word for a bowler hat, a nod to 1960's British style) will release their new album in Summer 2008.

"It was clear to everyone that had heard their albums and had seen them live at Montreal's Francofolie Festival - these guys knew what they're doing. Chapeaumelon evokes the best of 60's pop (Beatles, Stones even Ronnie Bird,) the best of 70's French rock (Telephone, Plastic Bertrand and a bit of Bashung) with a blend of 90's brit pop and early 2000 sounds like The Hives and The Strokes…".
