"Featured Artist: Chapman & Brocker"

"Chapman & Brocker are a duo of brothers from Los Angeles,
who create the most wonderfully lush and subtly rich music.
And that's not all - their lyrics echo landscapes and atmospheres
birthed in dreams and 19th century styled novels." - Laughing Evergreens

"Chapman & Brocker"

"An amazing offering from almost a year ago that deserves
the attention of anyone who may have overlooked it the past
several months. "

"The album was completed and made available without any
assistance or support of a record label and although this might
seem more common than not in these DIY days, the result is
not usually this striking."

"an impressive assortment of Tin Pan Alley flavored fairy-tales...
We'd definitely suggest a listen to understand our most recent
music fixation." - Milk Milk Lemonade

"Band To Watch"

"After some glowing reviews from the Los Angeles Times, and other publications. Chapman & Brocker decided the song-writing business might suit them well. Influenced by their favorite film composers they started working on their debut full length album. After three years of writing and producing everything themselves, they had the beautiful Dance of the Crazy Man to justify all those tiresome hours.

To make a long story short, Dance of the Crazy Man is a remarkable album that deserves to be heard." - Salad Days Music

"Chapman & Brocker"

"Their debut album, Dance of the Crazy Man, is awash with gorgeous cinematic sounds. None more so than 'Chimes' with its winding story line, interweaving vocal turns, and ghostly silhouettes languishing in the wings. Remarkably, the album was recorded in the brother's bedroom studio, yet it is so easy to immerse oneself in the lush canvas. Memorable stuff." - Mp3Hugger

"Chapman & Brocker's Seamless Integration of Film and Music"

"Dance of the Crazy Man is a stunning effort that should
propel these talented brothers into a state of respectability.
My only regret is not discovering it in time for inclusion on
my Best Albums of 2007 list."

"The lyrical content embodies upmost intelligence....
portraying melancholy in story-led form through vivid
imagery and metaphorical brilliance." - Obscure Sound

"Chapman & Brocker Debut With Their Cinematic Dream Pop"

"Chapman & Brocker's Dance of the Crazy Man is best described as cinematic dream pop. Their debut consists of careful arrangements, clean production, and heavy on the instrumentation. Listening to the album carries a similar experience of watching a well directed film, reminiscent of The Beatle's Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band." - Puddlegum

Bio

We got our start scoring the documentary, Best Hours of the Day. After some kind words from the Los Angeles Times and other publications, we decided to try our hands at the song-writing world. This led us to our first full length album, Dance of the Crazy Man, in which we blended our interests in film composition (classic and contemporary) and pop music (tin pan alley and dream pop). We are now gearing up for a series of shows on the west coast, recording our second album, and enjoying a bitter sibling rivalry on the tennis courts.
