Bio

"Charge Group's triumph is their ability to marry moments of unbridled beauty with complete sonic chaos at a level scarcely matched in this country." TIME OFF

After successful European and Australian tours late in 2009, Sydney's Charge Group spent the majority of 2010 writing and preparing their proudest and most ambitious work to date - the self-titled follow up LP to 'Escaping Mankind'.

Herein lies the sound of post-apocalyptic desert landscapes, desperate future-world chase scenes and blinding beacons of warm light. 'Charge Group' - out March 2012.

The limited-edition 'Run/The Gold is Gone' double-A-side EP is released 7 October (feat. remixes by Kim Presets, MYLeS, Seaworthy, CG, plus an exclusive non-album track).

Charge Group play loud dynamic rock music (with an electric guitar, a violin, an electric bass and a set of drums) that can instigate sorrow, health, rapture, rapid eye movement, toothache and intrusive self-assessment all at once. They will light your way home then welcome you at the door with a punch in the guts.

Black, Adam and Rosie were members of defunct angular rock group PURPLENE, while Adam and Rosie were the rhythm section of Newcastle guitar rock terrorists THE INSTANT. Black co-formed the rather explosive PALACE OF FIRE with ex-Wolfmother men Chris Ross and Myles Heskett, and sometimes belts drums in the lovably unhinged TUCKER B's. He co-founded Sydney experimental instrumental 5-piece UKIYO-E (1998-2001), and contributed work to Newcastle's FIREKITES, of which Jason is a member. Jason also works with Sydney songsmith JOSH PYKE.
