Biography

People have been talking about a new blue-eyed soul sensation and the name on their lips is Chariot Sky. There are countless reasons they've shared the stage with artists such as Maroon 5, Skillet, Big Daddy Weave, Jeremy Camp, Rush of Fools, Group 1 Crew, Seventh Day Slumber, Buddy guy, and Earth Wind & Fire. The group’s vocal dynamo, Aaron Richner, breathes fire and passion into original and worshipful songs. Their music falls somewhere between Gavin Degraw and The Fray. Kellmer's Keys are reminiscent of early Stevie Wonder. Richner's guitar playing evokes Stevie Ray Vaughan as it is blues influenced and John Mayer as he picks up an acoustic. The group has infused rock, pop, soul, and gospel to feature the best of the past and the brightness of the future. An original and soul stirring sound is the result. Jimi Hendrix Magazine said, “Richner is the best young fret board talent in the Northwest. Period. Taken live, you’ll see why it’s easy to forget everything except the subtle yet perfect bend of a string and the concept that the best musicians are born, not made." Aaron has recently worked with Dove-award winning producer Ian Eskelin (Stellar Kart, Remedy Drive, Francesca Battistelli), and is excited to share the results on the road. "We can't wait to share this new material with worshippers across the country! We're expecting the Lord to do amazing things because He's an amazing God!"
