Once upon a time there was a girl who craved acceptance and dreamed becoming a singer song writer. She had fleeting moments of recognition and that seemed to satisfy the need. The need to have people hear what she had to tell. The need to connect emotionally with words and music.

The girl grew older. She became a wife and a mother and then a single mother who works part time while attending college....and she put down the guitar and picked up after everyone else. It was good.

But, every now and then when the kids are alseep and the house is almost cleaned, and the laundry sits on the couch waiting to be folded, and the dining room table is still covered with tomorrows classwork. It will surface; the need, the craving, the calling ....and she runs her hands through her frizzy greying ponytail and remembers who she is.
