Bio

I was born in Eastern Iowa in a small town. Music has always been a huge part of my life. I started playing the piano when I was 4 years old and my love for it grew and grew as the years passed. I was extremely involved in music in grade school, High School and when I went off to college. After going to a couple of schools I finally realized that I wanted to major in music because I wanted to touch people's lives the way I had been moved by so many artists. In January of 2003 along with my now husband, Jeff, I packed up my car and headed to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. Berklee changed my life as a musician. It pushed me in ways musically that I never thought possible. It wasn't until near graduation that I began writing. God called me to walk with Him and be involved in worship at our church in MA. The experiences and sanctification process that God brought me through there are in so many of my songs. They are like my personal diary and help me process events in my life. My song First Love is a result of being involved in ministry and what the Lord was teaching me through it.

My husband and I moved to IL in June of 2007 and God kept giving me songs. He opened the door for me to record at a local studio called M-Studios. I was working for them some and the cd project just sort of happened. Many sponsors came forward to help in the creation of this album and I am so grateful for all of them. God is good and I just want to serve Him with my life.

My influences come from so many places. Friends that are musicians, Melissa Fleming, Mandy Thompson, Natalie Harris, and Lauren Zettler. The great Contemporary Christian artists of our day Nichole Nordeman and Jennifer Knapp. Also I really love Jewel, Nickel Creek, and many more!
