Who the hell do Charles' Mansion think they are? Genius band name aside, these guys stormed and stomped their way around the Crosby stage with the swagger and craze of Iggy Pop and earnest post-punk melodies reminiscent of Richard Hell and the Voidoids. These guys shouted, hollered and and yelped yet you could still find yourself dancing. Charles' Mansion swayed their way through songs like "I Don't Work For Free" while a video of girls in bikini's boxed each other, making it just slightly difficult to choose where to focus your attention. - Lucas Vocos, Wed., Feb. 24 2010
"These four dudes from around Orange County have quickly established themselves in Long Beach—and for good reason. Their stripped down “roots” rock really fits into this city’s folk-punk sensibilities. Whether they are playing fast and loud, like The Stooges would have wanted it, or doing a dressed up semi-acoustic AM Gold style set, these boys always put on can’t-miss shows. Think of Charles Mansion as somewhere between a sock-hop and a mosh pit." - Union Weekly

Bio
Upon first hearing the name Charles Mansion, one might assume the band is full of gimmicks, but Charles Mansion is a very real band and is not easily forgotten. Blending roots rock n' roll, anger and oddity with pop sensibility, their sound and energy is raw and exciting. Although they are a relatively new group and hail from Southern California, a place bands go to die, Charles Mansion has made a considerable dent in the local music scene and aim for longevity. You'll leave their live performances feeling like you're part of the mansion family...Welcome...to it.
