Bio
Charles McBee was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. His comedy career began as a form of self-defense. He used his comedic skills to humor bullies who insisted on pounding him right from
elementary school all the way through high school. One bully, in particular, kept at it for years, in spite of his attempts to make her laugh. The school of hard knocks (literrally) helped make Charles a hardened comic.
Charles began his professional comedy career on the stage at Bowling Green State University, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Theater and Film. His conviction earned him a scholarship at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. It was there that Charles sharpened his acting skills for film and stage.
While working in New York, Charles was casted in a variety of Off-Broadway productions and Independent Films, including, "Raw Love," and "To Seek a Newer World." Charles began his stand-up career when a friend of his asked him to perform at Christmas party in an upscale SOHO restaurant. It was this experience that launched him into a professional comedy career.
