Charles Murdoch, Future Classic's latest signing, caught the attention of the Future Classic group this year with his remix for Flume's Sleepless for Beatport's remix comp. Already having success in Mitzi, the four piece Brisbane indie rock group, Charles Murdoch's solo project expands to an electronic sound.
This year Charles Murdoch has began playing live and has already played at sold-out shows alongside Nicolas Jaar at Sydney Festival at Town Hall, Shlohmo's headline Sydney show at the Civic Underground, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs show in Brisbane, as well as playing alongside Lapalux and Cashmere Cat at the Future Classic x Vivid Festival show at Sydney Opera House.
Without being serviced to press, his B-side track 'No Lungs' has received a positive response from online music blogs 'Salacious Sound', 'La Ga Sta' as well as getting picked up on B rotation on Sydney's FBi radio. He has also been getting national radio play for his track Borna, and his remix for Flume Sleepless.
Having now been approached by 2 LA-based labels already, Charles Murdoch's manager Nathan McLay is looking to expand Charle's forthcoming release and touring to the U.S. His debut EP will be out in 2013 on Future Classic.

It looks like Future Classic have another young prodigy on their hands with their new kid, Charles Murdoch. Much like his label mate (Flume), Charles Murdoch is a stunner with the way he twists up vocal samples and chops them up with copious amounts of melodies Its a beautiful mess that all comes together in the end.
