Bio

Daleena Bailey- Vocals

When Daleena performs, she is showing off. From a very young age she found that singing was the one thing she could do to get attention, other than getting into trouble. Daleena is not exactly the 'girl next door' and she certainly cannot be ignored. She has a sense of humor, mischievous nature and possesses the ability to laugh and learn from her mistakes. Understanding that talent alone is not enough to make it in the music industry. Opening up for National Acts such as Jason Alden, Saturday Night Special, Darrell Singletary and Josh Turner she has seen what hard work and dedication can do. She has competed in nearly 50 contests ranging from local to national levels. In 2006 Daleena placed in the top 5 out of 6300 artist auditioning for Fox Network's Nashville Star. Daleena hopes that her fun loving personality and God giving talent shines through.

Jeff Kaehr- Drums

At the early age of 5 years old is when Jeff started playing drums and found his greatest passion in life. In 1977 he graduated with an all American scholarship in music. Jeff packed his bags and moved to New York where he began playing in local and regional bands as well as theaters. In 1985 Jeff and his band won a songwriting contest with MCA records. Like so many in this business we call The Music Business Jeff has had to learn what the hard road is. From playing cruise ships, local and national venues as well Las Vegas he has found nothing comes easy. Jeff has been fortunate to play with major acts such as Johnny Rivers, The Platters, The Smother Brothers and many more. In 2005 Jeff played overseas for the U.S. troops on a USO tour and had a heart wrenching view of what goes on during a war. Jeff also received a degree in audio engineering and has been working local studios both as an engineer and drummer.

Dave Heath- Guitar

Dave was the only kid in the 5th grade that had calluses on his finger tips. As all great guitar players know, that comes from several hours of practicing and playing. Throughout the years Dave has played in bands such as The Road Pops, River Band, Midnight Gypsy and several others. In 1982 Dave built L.A.P. Studio's in Lafontaine Indiana. Dave has played and worked as a recording artist and producer for many years. Dave smiles when he thinks of a conversation that he and Daleena had when they first met in 2007. She wanted him to play in a Country Band with her. Dave declined and said he didn’t play "boom chicky boom chicky" and Daleena's response was....well, you will, trust me! Now here it is 3 years later and Dave is not only playing in a country band he is admitting that it’s not just boom chicky boom chicky but very technical and is loving every minute of it.

DeWayne Wilcox- Bass

DeWayne has been playing music for about 33 years. One of his earliest influences was Tom Petersson (Cheap Trick's bass player) which he has had the pleasure to meet on several occasions. DeWayne has run FOH or monitors for bands such as The Diamonds, The Crickets (Buddy Holly) and Gary Richwrath (REO). DeWayne has played in several bands throughout the years. Dewayne came to know about the Charley Creek band through friend and fellow musician Dave Heath. Dave Heath, Jeff Kaehr and DeWayne played together years prior in the group “The Road Pops”. DeWayne is excited to be playing once again with Dave and Jeff. Like the other band members in Charley Creek he is new to the country scene but is enjoying the learning experience and the road it’s leading him.

David Brown- Guitar-Keys

David learned early in life that music was satisfying to his soul. He taught himself to play the guitar from the age of 5. At the age of 13 Dave started to write his own music and at 16 found his first Southern Rock Band in Rapid City, South Dakota “South Star Band”. A few years later Dave made his first 45 record while serving in the United States Army overseas in Nurnberg Germany, “Klaus Steger” a producer at a local Recording Studio in Nurnberg, happened to catch an acoustic performance with another fellow singer/songwriter “Ken Brooks”, paid to record them in his studio, gave them 1000 copies of the 45 record and got the record air play on almost every radio station in Europe, to include AFN Radio “American Forces Network”. Dave had a couple of radio interviews at AFN, and received a letter of appreciation from the Battalion Commander Lt Col. Charles Q. Brown and Brigade Commander Col. Granrud. As for a music career nothing more came from that. In 1991 Dave made his first original CD of 13 songs, titled “First Flight” with just a TEAC 4 track recording studio. Inspiration growing up was bands like America, Boston, Clapton, Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Firefall, and far too many others to mention. Still searching for his dreams in the music business, this is the latest and greatest adventure along the way with the “Charley Creek Band”.
