"Charlie's music is rare, and substantial." - Sarah Sullivan
. - Derek Sivers - founder of CDBaby
Five out of Five stars for this contemporary recording that leaves you wondering.. What era is this from, and where was this written? - Robin Ann Peters
"These are some genuinely moody and atmospheric songs here, sometimes nearly as evocative as those on Astral Weeks. In particular, songs like the heartfelt “Vow” and the sprightly “At Heart’s End” will satisfy the appetites of anyone looking to kick back and lose themselves in the music..." - The-Noise-Boston

Charlie Christos: Amidst the jungle of colorful guitar work, ethereal yet powerful vocal harmonies, and captivating performances akin to those of Andrew Bird and Bon Iver, lies Charlie's raison d' etre: a framework of masterfully crafted songs, forged from the heart and glorified by raw talent.
Whether performing in a corner cafe or crowded night club, Charlie makes a home and owns the stage. Opening for acts like The Doobie Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad and Gov’t Mule as a young blues guitarist, he was barely a teenager when he began hanging his hat at such venues. His current musical pursuit illustrates not only how far he has come, but how far he will go as well. In union with the soothing cadence of his vocals and creative guitar work, the personal nature of Christos' songs always shines through. He is flanked by a dedicated rhythm section: Christopher Cleveland, a well respected bassist and artist on the Boston songwriting circuit, and drummer Jim Lavin, whose former group Melou, toured the Euro Festival circuit for 3 years sharing the bill with the multi-platinum rock band Kane as well as the Belgian singer/songwriter Gabriel Rios. The resulting performances demonstrate dynamic finesse and vibrant sonic landscaping. Charlie's music has proven itself to the audiences at a diverse collection of bills, marking it's ability to defy genre classification and to satisfy the broadest
spectrum of music lovers.
Widow's Gun, Charlie's second full-length studio album, packs all of the necessary elements into what plays out as an audible novella, set in a mysterious meadow of heartache and questioning, bliss and adventure. Charlie Christos teamed up with producer/Engineer Jason Petrin (Clyde Stubblefield, Meshell Ndegeocello), to capture the honest, organic and timeless sound the songs were intended for. Widow’s Gun is also peppered with guest appearances by the spritely fiddle of Jon Donahoe, fiddle player to Bruce Marshall of The Marshall Tucker Band, and a touch of cello (Lindsay Mac) adding a darker balance. Widow's Gun is an effective amalgam of pain and pleasure, and a wholly pleasurable journey to embark upon from start to finish.
