"Charlotte Forbes catches the ear of Norman B. Ratner"

"I like her clever yet natural lyrics that don't seem forced. Also her melodic and repetitive hooks are excellent and her voice is very commercial. Please let Charlotte Forbes know that she now has another fan. I would encourage Charlotte to keep doing what she's doing as she is headed in a great direction."

Bio

Charlotte Forbes is a seventeen-year-old singer/songwriter and violinist from the coast of Vancouver, Canada. A hard-working musician, Charlotte learned the importance of musical dedication from a young age. At five years old, Charlotte took up piano lessons and loved it so much she also started violin lessons at age seven. Nevertheless, Charlotte had a natural talent for singing, as her school teacher discovered the following year. She was asked to star in the school-wide musical of "Beauty and the Beast." It was after her successful performance that Charlotte realized her commitment to singing was life-lasting.

While continuing to take piano lessons and improving her violin technique at the Vancouver Academy of Music, Charlotte got involved in singing lessons. By the age of twelve, Charlotte had already started recording her first album. Four years later, Charlotte, now sixteen, released her debut pop album, titled "Electricity." All ten songs were written by Charlotte herself. She started performing live at local coffee shops and events such as the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics Winterfest. At the same time, Charlotte began promoting her songs online, and received much success in getting her songs played on online radio stations. She won three of Fuse TV's "Make a Star" solo contests in five months alone. With her growing success, Charlotte decided it was time to develop a music video for her single Slow Down.

Charlotte is currently working on five new recordings and will be releasing an E.P. sometime in the near future, along with her much-anticipated music video. She continues to perform live and to showcase her unique talent of singing and playing the violin at the same time.
