Bio

Charmaine developed a desire for music at a very early age, being inspired by various music genres and also by the mission God has implanted in her life. Her innate desire is that her music helps to encourage, inspire and promote spiritual healing to all individuals.

Charmaine discovered her full potential as a singer in high school and mastered this talent during her college career and after. She has been afforded the privilege to sing with actress Suzanne Douglas and Gospel Diva Vickie Winans, Kierra “Kiki” Sheard, and Indiana gospel group Judah Band. Additionally, she had the honor of singing at the National Society of Black Engineers Conference, NJ Institute of Technology Career Consortium on Greater Newark, and most recently the NAACP Women’s Conference. This summer Charmaine also traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to sing at the Indianapolis Black Expo. She has contributed in the compilation of various musical events and two CD’s entitled “Wonderful Word” and “You Shall Be saved”.
At this time Charmaine has a CD titled “Secret Place” and a new single “Breathe on Me”. She has begun work on another single and also a second CD is forthcoming.

As a active person in the community Charmaine has a strong compassion for her fellow man which led her to pursue a career as a social worker. She attended The College of New Jersey and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She then went on to continue her education at the historical black college of Howard University, graduating with a Master’s Degree in Social Work focusing on Policy and Administration.

Charmaine is employed as a social worker with the Newark Public Schools. At the present time she has her own mentoring business, FHOCOS LLC-Finding Help Optional and Creative Opportunities to Succeed. Through this agency she strives to empower women and children who have been victims of domestic abuse. As a community activist Charmaine strives to improve lives through; workshops, mission work, philanthropy, and motivational speaking on both the local and national level. Some of her past partnerships have included work with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the D.C. Rape Crisis Center, Black Administrators in Child Welfare, Howard University, Child Welfare League of America, and many faith based organizations.

Charmaine states: “Even so, above every accomplishment I give God all the glory for my singing, education, and the many opportunities that have come my way”.

Her motto:
“If I can help somebody with a word or song, then my living shall not be in vain”
