Chase Martin

Chase Martin is an artist whose desire is to relate to the listener through sharing his own experiences within the musical landscape he creates. Chase, a native of Oakland, California began his musical interests around age 5 “Music was always a part of my everyday life since I can remember, I couldn’t imagine existing without it in my life”. Chase began auditioning forschool musicals & plays in addition to becoming a member of the world-renowned award winning Love Center Youth Choir in the ministry of the late Bishop Walter L. Hawkins. Within his high school years Chase discovered an interest in  songwriting, which in turn served as a canvas for his thoughts and experiences. “Songwriting for me is my way to share myself with the listener, it’s like talking to a friend about situations we all can relate to”.

In 2004, Chase embarked on his first musical offering. Chase Co-Wrote, Co-Produced along with collaborator Michael Witwer & Executive Produced his debut project “Introducing…Chase”. The project was a collage of the genres that had influenced Chase as a child into adulthood aiding in developing his own musical journey. “Introducing…Chase was the realization of a dream, this project will always be special to me not only for the opportunities it provided, but for the growth it allowed through the
process“. Chase's debut allowed him to develop a loyal underground following affording him opportunities to perform at industry showcases, private performances & meet a few of his musical influences.

With the recording and release of Chase’s sophomore project “The Smokin’ Room”, Chase once again wore Co-Production, Writing & Executive Producer hats along with co-collaborators Thomas Cryor & 1-O-A-K (Brandon McFarland). “The Smokin’ Room” Is a blend of Hip-Hop & classic R&B that gives all those who supported “Introducing…Chase” a different sound while maintaining the heartbeat of his distinct sound “The Smokin' Room was a fun project to work on, the process was exciting and creatively different”.

Chase is preparing to release his first single from his up coming junior project this fall with the full release to follow in mid 2016. The first single titled "Chosen" is a Pop/Rock powerhouse anthem that
tells a story of relationship complications and heartfelt reflection. As Executive Producer, This time around Chase collaborated with co-writer Singer/Songwriter Jeb Havens & Producer P.C. Munoz for
the single and the full project. Chase's explains, "this is my most personal work to date, my life is in every song"

Chase’s musical influences are a broad range of artists from Lenny Kravitz, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Donny & Lalah Hathaway, Beyonce’, Jay-Z, John Mayer, John Legend, Common, Whitney Houston, Lizz Wright & Sade to name a few of the primary influences that have inspired Chase to create and pursue his passion “Music is the soundtrack to our lives, it is my hope to obtain a place among those who have made great contributions to music and the world in which we live”.
