Hi my name is Chase Buchanan. This is my bio.
I'm writing this from the front porch of my house. Leaves are falling, the colors of nature are changing. My favorite season. Fall. It reminds me of myself. Always changing and never the same, day to day. One day the leaves are there, and the next day gone. The tree is bare.
Sometimes are lives go through a change of seasons. Our lives become overrun by whatever our hearts desire at the time. Blessings God has given us often become more important than him. We often need a "Fall" to strip away the excess. The "Dead Leaves" we've created to make room to bear fruit in the spring. This is the story of my life.
I can even remember as a child this being my favorite time of year. Growing up in Alabama has its moments, though very few. Music has always been a special place for me to go. Escape from the smoke that the world throws at me or a place where trouble finds me.
I have been given everything that I need in my life, but the most important is, Jesus Christ. I started leading worship at Grace Baptist Church in Oxford, Alabama when I was 16. At 18 I slowly began to be pulled away from leading worship, church, and eventually, God. Writing music used to be the compass of my mind...and my heart. Wherever it went, that's where I was.
After 2 wasting 2 years of my life with God in the back seat, I decided that enough is enough. I was baptized at my home church in Oxford, Alabama in May of 2009.
Now, nothing can take away the joy that I've found in knowing Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. He is the compass of my life.
I encourage anyone who is struggling with anything in there life to seek shelter Jesus. No matter how great the storm in your life may be, Jesus can overcome anything.

The music that I write is very personal to me. I hope really hope you enjoy the songs that I've written, but more importantly when you listen, my desire is that it brings you closer to Him.
