"Sid Bernstein"

" When I go on Larry King Live next week he's going to want me to talk about guys like Tony Bennett, but I'm going to want to talk about chasemissy."
-after seeing a chasemissy show in NYC. - the legendary promoter who brought the Beatles to America.

"chasemissy folking rocks"

"This album is a stellar achievement for independent music. I give this record 4 1/2 out of 5 stars for dexterity and fresh and crafty storytelling..."
- S. Haney - Southeast Perfomer Magazine

"Folk Rocks"

Though they pride themselves on sharing stories of heartache, hope and generations, Chase and Missy Gipson won't have "freebird" on the setlist... Though they grew up in the age of big hair and tight leather, this acoustic duo has drawn comparisons to Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan, earned an honorable mention in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for "Life's Circle" and received rave reviews for their live shows. But just because they tossed out the hairspray and spikes, don't expect a laid-back folksy live act... - The News-Star

"Chase Missy brings folksy bluegrass to Kirby's"

Missy and Chase Gipson are but two souls entwinced in the tradition of bluegrass-folk troubadours who happened to be married.
...the couple calls to mind a more Beatles-inflected version of Jeff and Vida with bits of Loggins and Messina thrown in for good measure.
All of this may very well make for the most romantic night you'll ever have at Kirby's. - f5, Wichita

"Folks Throwing Rocks in the Country Chase Missy (2HT)"

The acoustic duo of Chase and Missy Gipson have fashioned an alt-country release with guileless affection for music and stories. Chase Missy have friendly vocals and harmonies, and the plain and loose playing works with the generally acoustic instrumentation (primarily guitar, banjo, accordion, mandolin, and harmonica), setting a genial atmosphere where the songs and the voices are front and center. They tackle aspirations (“Maybe We’ll Make Tulsa,” “Jeremiah Washington”), love’s glory (“Little Faith”) and disappointment (“I Thought Forever Would Last That Long”), and tales of what could have been (“Together Forever,” “KTR”). Their sense of story songs is winning, as with the love triangle song “American Dream” and the dark wounded vet tale “Eddie.” Go to www.sonicbids.com/chasemissy to check Chase Missy out, for they’re worth watching. - The Amplifier

Bio

Chase Missy is a group of five people that live in Arkansas and play their own music. We have all our own teeth and wear shoes (most of the time).
Our music is a blend of rock, folk and country and usually tells a tale or two. We took a hiatus (new baby in town) but are ready to get back on the proverbial road.
