We are about to release our first EP, self-titled Chasing Canaan. Once this comes out, we will be working on choosing and releasing a single to get airplay. We are scheduled to record our full-length album in December, and can't wait for where all this will take us!

So we're ChasingCanaan. Canaan, for the promises that God has better in mind for life than we can come up with on our own. Chasing, because we want to run hard after the One who loves us enough to offer life so that we may live in those promises. We're all siblings, so it wasn't hard to meet each other....that's a lie. We're sorry for lying. We were put together last-minute as a worship team to raise money for 2 of us to go to Kenya two summers ago. After playing a few times together we realized we loved it, so maybe we'd keep doing it! Everything about getting together was random. Six of us met at a college we hadn't planned on attending, one just happened to be visiting the week we were playing, and another was a last-minute fill-in. Random is starting to feel orchestrated though. So now we’ve been playing together for 2 years. We recently signed with Echo Dei Records, and our first EP is coming out soon! We're kind of weird and a lot of our conversations don't make sense. But we love what we do and we have a lot of fun. If this were a mission statement, then loving Jesus and loving people is our mission. Music is a bonus. We write, play, and share because we have Good News to sing about. Our style is as big of a variety as the personalities that make up the band. We go from funk to folk with several stops in between. All in all, we want the music to connect souls to the Greater in hopes that we'll build the Kingdom with every beat, laugh, and lyric we get to share.
