Bio

Since their formation in Brisbane, 2003, Chasing Gravity (formerly Elephant Mojo) blistering live shows have captured a loyal legion of fans.
Constant touring has helped spread their music and rock antics throughout the nation. Famous Australian venues such as Brisbane’s The Zoo, Melbourne’s The Espy, Sydney’s The Marquee, Byron Bay’s The Back Room and many others have been host to this inspiring band. Their appealing live shows combined with three nationally distributed CDs and an ever growing presence on radio and television, exemplifies Chasing Gravitys strong existence in the industry.

August 2003 saw the national release of the bands debut EP “Bring It” through MGM. The release quickly established the band’s ability translate their energetic live sounds into strong recordings. “Bring It is a very impressive debut from a band that are sure to become favorites on the live scene.” – Skinny’s Music.

In September 2004 the band released the single, “Warped Chinese Whispers”. The release saw a political charged edge to the group which would be further explored with their following release.
“Cool In America” was the bands last EP out through Modern Music - Sony/BMG. The EP has sold very well for the band and gives listeners a chance to hear not only four polished studio tracks but also six blazing live tracks recorded at the Marquee in Sydney. “Full guitars sounds with groove and a little bit of funk thrown in and you have got yourself a winner… I look forward to hearing the full album release” (Chris Gersbach, Australian Guitar, issue 49)

2006/7 was committed by the band to writing their debut album (due for release in 2008), yet they still manage to extend their east coast touring schedule to take in all 6 states of Australia and the ACT over 2 months. Again demonstrating how durable this band is and willing to place everything on the line for music!

Chasing Gravity enter the studio in September 2007 with acclaimed producer Phil Mc Kellar, to record their debut album 'Autumn in The Platinum Desert'
The album will be mastered at Sterling Sound New York by Ted Jensen.
This album is the beginning of a new name, a new direction and a new sound for the band and exciting times ahead!
The album release is set for early to mid 2008 through MGM distribution.
