Bio
Greenville, SC is not known for the music scene. Chasing Reality stands out above the rest and is known for an energetic and fun live show. Formed in the spring of 2010 by four high school students, drawing influences from a variety of artists from John Mayer to A Day To Remember, this band has a unique sound. The lyrics are catchy and impacting. Early in 2012, the first EP from the group, 'Simpler Times', was released. Since the release of 'Simpler Time' the band has had it's fair share of radio time on local radio stations. The band worked in several studios, including the famous Whitestone Studios, owned by Edwin McCain. Chasing Reality has won several local battle of the bands, has played in front of crowds exceeding 1,000 people, opened for international touring bands, and played at many festivals (Freedom Weekend Aloft in Simpsonville, SC and Barnstable County Fair in Cape Cod, MA) . Although the band loves to have fun there's no doubt in mind that they have a serious side too. With tracks entitled "Standing in the Rain," and "Never Change Me," the band has a song on the EP that fits everyone's wants and needs.This band has accomplished a lot at such a young age, and is looking forward to more in 2013.
