Lyrics

Drive

Written By: Gretchen Wilson/ Kim Tribble

I’M SO TIRED OF THIS BARSTOOL
AND THE SMOKE IS GETTIN’ THICK
AND I CAN’T TAKE ANOTHER GAME OF POOL
CAUSE BEATIN’ YOU WITH THIS SHORT STICK
HAS LOST IT’S KICK
WHAT I NEED IS A

FAST RIDE IN A PICKUP TRUCK
A CASE OF BEER IN CASE WE GET STUCK
HANK JR. ON THE RADIO, SINGIN’ COUNTRY BOY CAN SURVIVE
ON A DIRT ROAD, CROSS THE COUNTY LINE,
OUT-RUNNING THE LAW AND HIS BLUE LIGHTS
BABY IF YOU’RE GOOD, I’LL LET YOU DRIVE

YOU’VE LOST YOUR JOB, I’VE LOST MY PATIENCE
WHAT ELSE HAVE YOU GOT TO LOSE
I CAN CHANGE YOUR SITUATION
LIGHTEN UP, COME ON CUT LOOSE
ALL I WANT FROM YOU
IS A

REPEAT CHORUS

LIGHTEN UP, MAKE YOUR MOVE, I’M IN THE MOOD

FOR A FAST RIDE IN A PICKUP TRUCK
A CASE OF BEER IN CASE WE GET STUCK
HANK JR. ON THE RADIO, SINGIN’ COUNTRY BOY CAN SURVIVE
ON A DIRT ROAD, CROSS THE COUNTY LINE,
OUT-RUNNING THE LAW AND HIS BLUE LIGHTS
BABY IF YOU’RE GOOD, BABY IF YOU’RE GOOD
BABY IF YOU’RE GOOD, I’LL LET YOU DRIVE

Hippie Life

Written By: Anthony Smith/ Bob Dipiero

I’V GOT MY SEASHELL NECKLACE ON
YOU LET YOUR HAIR GET KINDA LONG
WE CRUISE AROUND EACH AFTERNOON
IN OUR CONVERTIBLE VW
PINK FLOWERS AND PEACE SIGNS
IT’S HIPPIE LIFE

CHORUS: WE GO IT MADE
LIKE BEIN’ BACKSTAGE WHILE THE BEATLES PLAYED
THIS LIFE ROCKS
LIKE FRONT ROW SEATS AT THE FIRST WOODSTOCK
IT FEELS SO RIGHT
EVERY DAY WITH YOU’S A MAGIC CARPET RIDE
IT’S A HIPPIE LIFE

MY TIE DIE T-SHIRTS IN A SACK
MY FOLK GUITAR IS ON MY BACK
I SIT AROUND AND MEDITATE
SOMEDAY I HOPE TO LEVITATE
‘SCUSE ME WHILE I KISS THE SKY
IT’S A HIPPIE LIFE

REPEAT CHORUS

BRIDGE: LETS CLIMB DOWN OFF OF THIS BLUEBERRY HILL
AND LETS GO DANCING IN STRAWBERRY FIELDS

REPEAT CHORUS

WoW

Written By: Daryl Burgess/ Cyril Rawson

THEY CALL JOHNNY, A GREASE MONEY
A METAL HEAD AND A JUNK YARD JUNKY
AND A MICHAEL ANGELO WITH A BLOW TORCH
HE’S IN HOT ROD HEAVEN AT THE BACK OF THE BARN
IT’S A SHRINE TO CHROME AND CURVES AND CARS
AND THERE’S A WORK OF ART RISIN’ OFF A CONCRETE FLOOR

PRE-CHORUS:
AFTER YEARS OF WAITIN’ IT’S TIME FOR THE UNVEILIN’,
HE’LL CRANK UP KID ROCK AND WAYLON,
WHEN HE TURNS THAT CORNER EVERYONE’LL BE SAYIN’

CHORUS:
WOW..JUST LOOK AT HIM NOW
STOPPIN THEM DEAD, TURNIN’ THEM HEADS, MAKIN’ THEM YELL OUT LOUD
EVERYBODY SAID…WOW, JUST LOOK AT HIM NOW
STRUTTIN SO PROUD, SHOWIN’T THEM HOW, TO STAND OUT IN THE CROWD
EVERYBODY SAYS…WOW

LITTLE JENNY, QUIET AND FRAIL
JOKE OF THE GYM CLASS, SKINNY AS A RAIL
NEVER HAD A DATE IN FIVE YEARS AT WELDON HIGH
BUT SHE’S BEEN PUMPIN’ THAT IRON, LIFTIN’ THOSE WEIGHTS
CARVIN THOSE ARMS, CHISSELIN’ LEGGS
HOURGLASS BODY WITH THE GRACE OF A BUTTERFLY

PRE-CHORUS:
SOME FLOWERS FADE, SOME START BLOOMIN’, NO ONE ASKED WHAT SHE’D BEEN DOIN’
WHEN SHE WALKED UP TO THE DOORS OF THE CLASS RE-UNION
YOU COULD HEAR A PIN DROP WHEN SHE WALKED THROUGH THEM

CHORUS:
WOW… JUST LOOK AT HER NOW

BRIDGE:
HE MADE A CHARIOT FROM AN OLD CHEVELLE
AND SHE'S A MODERN DAY CINDERELLA
AND RIGHT IN FRONT OF THOSE HIGH SCHOOL DISBELIEVERS
JOHNNY PULLS UP, JENNY JUMPS IN, WAVES GOODBYE SLIDES NEXT TO HIM
LEAVES THEM IN A CLOUD OF DUST AT THE GYMNASIUM

CHORUS:
EVERYBODY SAYS…WOW… JUST LOOK AT THEM NOW
