Biography

Chas Jackson is a regular in the Los Angeles poetry community. He featured on all six episodes of the FX cable hit show “Black. White.” On the Ice Cube produced reality show he appeared as himself, a member of a poetry workshop. Chas also featured on Oprah, Jimmy Kimmel & BET's 106 & Park. He is a member of the 2006 LA Slam Team and his poetic reflections go beyond cafes, to church and community events such as the 2006 Pan African Film & Arts Festival. As one of the most controversial characters on “Black.White”, his impact opened doors for discussion on all topics. Chas has been interviewed and he performed on the LA’s #1 morning radio show “The John Salley Block Party.” His poems overflow with honesty and insight.
