Bio
Now, if it wasnt for the Bronx would we know the charismatic, attention-grabbing lyricist Chaundon? Schooled in Hip-Hop 101 at the birthplace of rap music, the South Bronx, Chaundon began writing rhymes and performing at the age of 13. With crowded hallways and cafeteria tables as his stage, he got his first taste of stardom and realized that music was his calling.
Chaundons skill for story-telling and lyrical dexterity gained him a reputation that followed him from New York to North Carolina where he attended North Carolina Central University. Having already been bitten by the rhyming bug, it wasnt long before Chaundon got involved in NCs Hip-Hop scene and linked up with other local artists who would later form the Justus League. His affair with the mic got even more intense as he performed on campus, at local clubs and appeared on radio stations such as Power 98 (WPEG) and K97.5 (WQOK).
The buzz around Chaundon grew so much that it was word of mouth, not financial backing or promotion, that has propelled him to his current level of success. In 2003, Chaundon released Slow Leaks, a mixtape, followed by Live from the 718, in 2005. These releases, along with appearances on other Justus League albums, solidified his position as a strong and witty emcee.
Chaundons high-energy performance has been going strong ever since he was banging out beats on the cafeteria table. Be on the look out for more hot releases from this relevant and versatile lyricist and the Justus League.
