Bio

C.H.B.: (noun) “Certified Head Busa” -- In the hoods of Atlanta, the main thing we had to do to survive was to fight and demand respect from others and certifiably “bust heads”.

Year 1998 marks the genesis of CHB. Formulated by the high school minds of Mista MoMo and Playboi da G, they set out to make music that represented their hoods and told their personal story. Traditionally classified as Hip-Hop/Rap – CHB depicts the term by creating club anthems and street classics that precisely mix Atlanta Crunk with original gangsta music. In 2002 CHB produced and released locally, an underground album called "Respect It or Check It" containing hood anthems from its original 2 members, MoMo and Playboi.

In 2004 they released their second underground album called "Bad Habits". CHB hit the road throughout Georgia and Florida promoting the album through live showcases. Still determined, Mista MoMo produced and locally released his positively received solo album “The Greatest” in the summer of 2005. It was while promoting this album at a weekly unsigned artist night, Mista MoMo met Yung Jazzy, who quickly joined the force representing a different hood and bringing a different swagger to the group. Steady building, Mista MoMo began collaborating with unsigned artist, J Roc, in the beginning of 2006. J Roc’s entrance into CHB completed the leaders in the CHB movement.

Currently, CHB is wrapping up their third album “Business, Never Personal” set for release in early June 2006 and with the hit singles “I’m a Star” and “Word on the Streets”. This album is sure to take them to the top of the charts.
