In April 2007, while finishing work with a band of local musicians, guitarists Chris Thompson and Dan Sufalko began forming ideas for a group, which would eventually become Cheap Machine. Sufalko invited drummer Tom Marasco into the mix and the group began writing during the Summer and Fall of 07'. With the addition of Kat Bohn on Bass Guitar in January of 08' , Cheap Machine was finally complete.
Influenced by a wide array of musical styles, Cheap Machine's writing falls between the metal and modern rock genres. The band performs with the raw, high energy, rebellious attitude of early era punk while maintaining their own original style.
The group currently rehearses at “The Barn”; somewhere off the back roads of central New Jersey and is in the process of recording four track offering set to release in January 2008. Cheap Machine plans to perform/tour heavily and will begin work on their first full length studio release during the Summer of 08'.
Cheap Machine's goal: to develop a national fan base devoted to an ethos of no bullshit, kick ass music.
