"SoundCheck: ROOM90"

This local act is composed of four individuals with very diverse backgrounds only one of them is a native Floridian. With eclectic songwriting and throw in funky drum beats, some guitar shredding and a bluesy sound here and there you'll have ROOM90's sound in a nutshell. The only true way to experience it, until their five track EP which is due out soon, is to catch a show. ROOM90 has developed a strong following throughout Central Florida by hitting all the local hotspots like The Social, Lulu's Bait Shack, Maui Jacks, Backbooth, AKA Lounge, Slingapours and are hopeing to play many more, so you might as well get to know them sooner rather than later.

Bio

ROOM 90 was born in October of 2003 when Chris auditioned for Nate and Lee Anna. Cameron got a late check in that December.

On January 28th 2004 ROOM 90 took the stage for the first time. Since that time the perfect mix of “rootsy” Southern Rock, Blues, and Pop appeal has catapulted ROOM 90 into the fore front of the Central Florida live music scene.

At the heart of ROOM 90's sound is vocalist, Lee Anna Mc Cullom (Orlando FL) Lee Anna’s eclectic songwriting stems from her childhood spent in South Africa with her missionary parents. Since then she has developed her style with various groups since the age of 9. Her 3 1⁄2 octave range offers a variety of musical styles and adds to the unique nature of ROOM 90's sound.

Chris Jahnke’s (Chicago IL) technical prowess cry's out in his solos and song writing. Chris has shredded for bands everywhere from Chi-town to New York. His strongest influences are in Blues where he adds to the soul of ROOM 90's music.

Cameron Parker (West Frankfort IL) draws deeply from his roots in the Beverage St. Blues Band laying his own style of bass line. Cameron picked up the bass after 9 years of pickin' the six string. His greatest love is for Blues.

Nate Parsons (Springfield MA) grew up with drums beating in his blood. His greatest influence is his percussionist father who taught him to play at a young age. His funky beats keep ROOM 90's soul intact.

Together ROOM 90 draws from the diverse nature of it's pasts to build a "Rootsy" Blues and Rock sound like none other.
