Bio
A small town big dreamer can describe the artist Rontray 'Chedda Chapp' Beatty in simple wording. Chapp's birthplace New Bern, NC may have been small, but his plans to take over the music game would be colossal. Chedda Chapp's passionate moves placed him in the spotlight of his mentor Noland Hicks (Nolo). Nolo guided Chedda Chapp early in his career and not only sharpened Chedda Chapp's musical skill, but also sharpened his skill in business. Faced with the realities of the south, Chedda Chapp decided to give college a try, attending Winston-Salem State University, to broaden his web of opportunities.
While a student at WSSU, Chedda Chapp was introduced to All-Terrain Music (ATM), an independent music label, with whom he began to work and released his first solo mixtape.
In 2006, Chedda formed 24/7 Entertainment Group. Collectively the group aimed to create a solid buzz for the Carolinas. Graduating from Winston Salem State University, Chedda Chapp still decided to continue his plight towards being big in the hip hop industry.
In 2012 he regrouped and changed the name of his crew to Life’s Grand and dropped The Empty Theater album. Things have been on the rise ever since. Bold lyricism and subject matter dealing with real life issues being the forefront of his music, Chedda Chapp's new campaign is in full effect. He continues to gain new fans one loyal person at a time. To stay tuned make sure you visit www.TheLifesGrand.com and follow Chedda Chapp on the social networks below.
