The artist known as Chedda Hound was born Timothy Curenton; in Hempstead, New York during a hard time for a new generation to start. At a young age Timothy was sent to live with his father in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Being raised in the "Dirty South", Timothy gained many skills it took to drive his talent and to survive in the music industry also to stand out in his art.
Starting out as a professional boxer in the late 1990's, Chedda Hound learned his strength in fighting for what he wanted. He has taken his lessons in the ring to lead him into the next level of entertainment that is Chedda Hound's unique sound and character. His beats are ageless Hip Hop sounds, his style will set a higher standard in the rap game that will surely get people buying his albums.
His stage performance is completely centered on grabbing and holding the attention of the fans, introducing all to his hypnotic sound and style. He leaves the crowds chanting hooks such as from his hit single Mr. Mississippi (M-I-crooked letter, crooked letter, I, crooked letter, crooked letter, I, hump back, hump back, I). Other artist and club promoters themselves are becoming fans as he spreads his lyrics throughout the nation.
Chedda Hound has been perfecting his talent and entertaining crowds in the "underground Hip Hop" community for nearly 15 years. He has now set out to giving his all in his newest project. This project is based on the journey of growing up in the south; traveling and working in the industry that easily will leave many behind. He has dedicated himself to making an international name for Chedda Hound. This project proves that the "Dirty South" has a lot more to offer than stories of poor country folk with broken English and bad manners. He speaks on the journey we all face daily to survive in this fast paced world.
