Cheldon McQueen feat. Le$, “Gold Koto”
As often as we’ve featured Le$ in his solo missions (there have been two more since our last column), it’s best we show some of his best guest moments of the year. “Gold Koto” not only climbs on RZA-esque production, it sees upstart Cheldon McQueen represent the H while being spliced between anime clips from Jorgey Films and a crew that looks ready for a postapocalyptic wasteland. - Houston Press

"Cheldon McQueen Feat. LE$ - Gold Koto [Houston Unsigned Artist]"

A Golden Autumn's own Rapper/Producer Cheldon McQueen teams up with $x$/Jet Life affiliate LE$ to drop a scuzzy video paying homage to the energy of an old Wu Tang cut that found a UGK cassette in it's older brother's tape deck.

Produced by Cheldon McQueen.
Directed by Jorge Casanova & Cheldon McQueen of @Jorgeyfilms. - WorldStarHipHop

"Music: Cheldon McQueen"

Recently I've really been vibing out to this new artist, Cheldon McQueen. He's an amazing blend between Hip-Hop and experimental soulful sounds. His song "Too Late" caught my attention and needless to say the rest of the album is an amazing piece of art. Download the album over on his website or check out his single below! - Jay Melilli

"Le$, Cheldon McQueen Warehouse Live December 22"

People did finally begin to loosen up a bit as the musicians set up their gear for Cheldon McQueen's set. A white 'n nerdy drummer and keyboardist accompanied McQueen during his too-short set, which woke the crowd up with fresh cuts like "Headgames" and "Too Late" from his debut mixtape, Stranger.

Live bands, even if they comprise just a couple of dudes with drumsticks and a MIDI controller, really add a lot to a rap performance. The crowd was feeling McQueen, and thank God, even if it was only because they knew Le$ wouldn't be far behind. Cheldon managed to get the audience loud, at last, by picking on great civic goat Matt Schaub.

"When I say 'fuck,' y'all say 'Matt Schaub,'" McQueen said. That call and response could have gone on all night. - Houston Press

Cheldon McQueen - Strangers

Feeling a bit camera shy

The Houston native is a hip-hop artist and producer, whose passion for music began at the age of 11.  McQueen has been creating since 2009, and his latest project, Strangers, is the bridge between hard-work and tangible results. McQueen moved around quite a bit as a youth, and feels that creating relationships was difficult for him at such a young age.  This distance from establishing real relationships is where the title Strangers originates.  Cheldon also remembers the ones who have touched his life, so he eulogizes them with the elephant on the cover of his cd.  The elephant is a symbol of wisdom, luck, and loyalty, all key ingredients for success.
