"Derek Sivers CD Baby Founder"

“ I Love your “A Life Less Ordinary” CD so much I’m going to feature it on the FRONT PAGE of CD Baby for a few days. We’re REALLY picky about what goes on the front page. We get about 75 new albums a DAY coming in here now, (about 30,000 total) and yours is one of the best that I’ve ever heard.” - CD Baby

"Dan Barrons Charlevoix Venetian Festival President"

Bio

Chelsee Oaks was endowed with the title of “Michigan’s Rising Star” eight years ago when she was only 13. Time has proven that description to be accurate. She continues to soar upward…and not only in Michigan. Just enter her name in an Internet word search. Her name comes up over several pages, which is some indication of what she has accomplished during that time period. She has gone from singing at small local events using karaoke tracks to opening for some of our country’s most well known performers, and most distinguished dignitaries.

She has had the honor of performing for the President of the United Sates, the Vice Presidentand three times for a Governor. Chelsee belted out the National Anthem for a Detroit Tigers home game and at the Detroit Redwing’s training camp among almost 100 other events.

She and her band have performed over 50 shows throughout the state of Michigan including opening for Charlie Daniels, Dierks Bentley, Tracy Byrd, Blake Shelton, Emerson Drive, Trick Pony, Bobby Pinson, Chalee Tennison, and even Herman’s Hermits and of course her own many concerts where Chelsee Oaks was the main attraction.

Although she now calls Nashville her home, Chelsee is no stranger to Music City. During her many trip to Nashville she has performed on the television show“Morning on Fox 17” and competed in the Nashville Country Show. She was chosen as one of the six finalists of the forty-four competitors. Chelsee has recorded 2 CD’s. The first, recorded with her band, when she was 15, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was a mix of 8 cover tunes by many of Chelsee’s inspirations, including Martina McBride, Allison Krauss, Aretha Franklin, Patty Loveless, Jodee Messina and Patsy Cline. Her second 10-cut CD “A Life Less Ordinary” was recorded at Curb Music Studios in Nashville, TN. The producer,Gilles Godard a writer, producer at Curb Music recorded the project using “A” list studio musicians, Jeff King, Jerry McPherson, Joe Chemay, B. James Lowery, Wayne Killius and Jason Webb. “A Life Less Ordinary” has received positive reviews.

Following several years of touring all over the State of Michigan with her band, Chelsee graduated from High School in June of 2005,and moved to Nashville. She is living and working in Music City while the title single from her “A Life Less Ordinary” CD climbs the country charts in Europe.
