Bio

Chemistry, originally from Montreal, is active on the local hip hop scene since 2004. However, most of the members have been in the music business for many years.
This is a solid group who don’t hesitate to express their opinion through their music. The strength of Chemistry is the mixture of artists from different cultures, different classes, religions and ideologies.
Their presence on stage is such that their concerts are always sold out since their beginning as a group and this without major publicity or grants from any major labels in the industry.

Chemistry has four members of which two are rappers, one hype man and one singer.
Let me introduce you to each member.

PORTER I gained notoriety by participating at Freestyle Friday’s at Sona Afterhours Club between 2002 and 2003. He’s been on the scene for close to ten years. He’s the president of Lyricalize Entaprize Records and the main rapper of the group. With his flow and unusual lyrics, he made his mark in the industry.

MC NIKKIE has been on the Montreal hip hop scene since its beginning. He has performed in many places such as: Angel’s, Bedroom, Sona Afterhours Club, Playground, 13e Ciel, Garage, Level Afterhours Club and Circus Afterhours Club including many other events like 514 Production’s raves. He’s now hosting different shows or events in Montreal.

HEAVY MARV is on the scene since 2004. He started as Porter I’s hype man to become one of the greatest underground rapper in the industry, in many countries with his brilliant lyrics. He started with the group at the beginning and he is now irreplaceable.

ROYAL has been a member of many different Canadian bands until he joined Chemistry at the end of 2009. His talent and his unique voice will soon make him an international star. You can hear him with the group for the first time singing “All About You” from Sinamatik’s album (Director’s Cut).

The group’s first album “The First Experience” came out in 2007 mostly in English with featurings in Spanish, French and Arabic. With its 17 tracks, each one better than the other, this album pleased music lovers in general as it went from hardcore rap to club beats and even from rnb to reggaeton.
