Bio

Marlon Malbrough, aka chemistry – The Dope Beat Maker and formerly know as O.M.P. (Orange Mound Player) was born and raised in the neighborhood of Orange Mound, Memphis, Tennessee; one of the rougher neighborhoods of Memphis.
He began his musical career at the age of 13 playing drums for Sherwood Jr. High School. Later he attended Melrose High School where he was a member of the dance group "The Golden Boys". During these years, he also DeeJayed for various house parties.
Marlon graduated from High School in 1987, joined the Air Force and relocated to Phoenix Arizona where he joined the group "T-Bone and The Elements", the group began to rap, sing and dance at nightclubs, concerts, and parties. In 1992 Marlon was relocated to Georgia and went solo, producing, writing, and releasing his own music. He released a cassette single titled "Gotta Make That Flow" and distributed it himself in some smaller towns of GA in 1994. It was very successful.
After being honorably discharged from the Air Force in June of 97, Marlon released his first full length album titled "Playaz Talez".
Even though he uses a modified bedroom studio for recording, his skills are honed to perfection enabling him to produce some of the fattest tracks ever to come out of the south, resembling other producers such as Maybach Music, Kanye West, Timbaland, & Dr. Dre.
