I am a contemporary/urban gospel soprano soloist with a wide ranging vocal ability. I have proven this in my tracks by performing lead vocals as well as all background vocals. I am also a songwriter, writing songs for myself as well as choir songs.

I started singing at age six in the Sunbeam Choir at Macedonia Second Missionary Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio. I continued to actively participate in Macedonia’s choirs and Dayton area choir workshops until I relocated to Atlanta in 1997.

I have been a member of three gospel groups, Rejoyce and Highest Praise out of Dayton and Guiding Light out of Atlanta. I am currently a member of the Sanctuary and Mass Choirs at Providence Baptist Church in College Park, GA. Providence has recently finished a live recording project, in which “Jesus Loves Me”, is being performed with myself as the lead vocalist. This album is expected to be released in June 2005 and marketed nationwide.

My influences are gospel writers such as Richard Smallwood and Kirk Franklin. Vocally, my influences are Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary and more.

What sets me apart is that although I am influenced by the contemporary music of today, I have a passion for the traditional choir sounds of yesterday. I would like to incorporate both of these sounds into my music.
