I was born in Indiana and raised in Las Vegas, NV. I write songs in my spare time when I'm not working on research papers and other assignments. I love to rap and currently do it as a hobby for right now. I am currently working on my MBA and hope to one day develop my own record label specializing in Christian music.
My music is primarily a tool to reach the youth. I was raised in the hip hop era, therefore, I think my music has a great deal to offer this generation. I feel that my lyrics will be able to reach the masses from all walks of life. Especially now, since rap has been given a bad reputation as being totally negative. I'm here to let the world know that all rap isn't bad rap, just be more selective of who you decide to listen to and support. I try to maintain realness and ensure that each song will be created based on Biblical principles in an effort to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
What sets DaChozn1 (pronounced Da- chosen-1) apart from other bands is that I can promise my fans that I will always speak the truth concerning the Word of God and that I will always inform my fans what I've learned through Scripture and how that Scripture has impacted my life. I feel that my life is a testimony and should be shared to the whole world. I want my fans to know that I've been through rough times, I'm not sugar coating the message. I've been down and out and every time the Lord has seen me through and for that very reason I've got to testify! If it's not face to face then it will be through my songs that were created right from my bedroom.
