Bio

Cherri Mob was born on a humid summer day in 2000 in a cramped and dirty basement in East Atlanta Village, Georgia. With no former musical experience, the original members, Jesse C. Boyd (vocals), Spring Terry (guitar), and Brandy Duke (drums), combined their love for music with a raspy sultry voice, a dusty guitar, and some old water buckets and came up with the unique Cherri Mob sound. Eventually, they pooled their money they made working at a local cafe together and graduated to real instruments and dedicated practice. Within no time, the three friends found themselves playing gigs around Atlanta and building a solid fan base.

As life would have it, the band took a hiatus and singer, Jesse, relocated to Los Angeles, CA, in 2002. The summer of 2006 brought guitarist, Spring, to Los Angeles and two-thirds of Cherri Mob back together again. They hit the ground running and recruited talented musicians to add to their sound. Cherri Mob was able to pick up right where they left off, only now, with more life experience and a clear perception of they’re musical destination.

Surely, destiny is held responsible because Cherri Mob is currently full throttle in the L.A. area with over 30 shows under their belt and several more to come. They’re latest show was a charity event at the Celebration Theatre in West Hollywood on January 7th, 2008. 100% of their CD sales went directly to LGBT youth programs. Also, they’ve recently been blessed with the opportunity to record an album with an esteemed producer and will begin touring California later this year. So you have no choice, but to come get down with the Cherri Mob sound and let the "bass from the speaks get you tweakin'".

Love,
the Mob
