Bio

Formed in the late 80's as Paris, the band worked their way up through the same club curcuit that spawned Lillian Axe, Pantera and Zebra. Opening act slots for Autograph, Night Ranger, Lillian Axe, and countless appearances at festivals across the South brought them to the attention of Ron Capone, Multi- Platinum Grammy and Oscar winning engineer and producer. Working with Ron, whose credits as Staxx engineer included Otis Redding and Isaac Hayes, and later Jeff Beck, Black Oak Arkansas and Johnny Lange, a demo was recorded and duly shopped around. Just as the band was receiving record label attention, internal conflict due to the age old "drug and alcohol problems" caused the band to implode...
Fast forward to 2005. The three founding members Marty, Scott and Kenny reunite. Clean and sober (and definately wiser!) they pick up where they left off. Renamed "Cherry Lane", the band has just finished recording their new cd "Summer Forever" on Red Dog Records, and are preparing a club tour in support of it's release. With the dynamic stage presence of frontman Scott Mcguire on lead vocals and guitar, it's a show from the first song to the last. Kenny Ebert on lead guitar makes it Ok for the crowd to air guitar again, with blistering leads and jaw dropping firepower. You want solos? You got solos. Rock guitar ain't dead, my friend. In the back on the drums Marty Montgomery lays down a thunderous backbeat that shakes the rafters. New member Chad Montgomery on bass anchors the bottom end.
Scheduled for April 2007 release, "Summer Forever" is the newest colection of songs these talented musicians have put to disc. And the emphasis is on songs. If you're looking for thirteen year olds mad at their parents, this ain't the band for you. But if you're looking for songs about love and loss, about hope and despair and that perfect summer day you wish could go on forever, then this is the cd for you.
So come on and check out the band the Alexandria Daily Town Talk says gives ".....a pounding performance". Catch Cherry lane at their next show. It will be one hell of a nigfht.
