It also featured Seattle fem-rock band Cherry Tomato. Guitarist and vocalist Vivian Wiese can go from playing jazzy John Furscianti (RHCP) chords to slaying mud toned riffs.
Bassist Anaya Watson and Drummer Liv Victorino coming pounding in not missing a single beat. That is a powerful rhythm section that could be dangerous with some extra amps to up their already ground shaking sound.
They make an effort to get involved with the crowd. That means playing, dancing and yes even drinking in the pit. To put it lightly the band is a party.
This is there first time playing in Bellingham, but it will not be there last, according to the band they are already planning new shows. - What's Up! Magazine
The band, featuring Anya Watson on bass and Liv Victorino on drums, played three original songs.
On the first song of the set, Victorino lost a cymbal, arguably from rocking too hard.
After a quick recovery, Victorino joined Watson in serving as not only instrumental support but self-described interpretive dancers. The two visually aided the second track, telling the story of the rise and fall of an aloe vera plant.
The band said this was their first ever performance together following a three year hiatus throughout which band members rotated in and out of the group.
While it was clear Cherry Tomato was new to the music scene, Wiese appeared comfortable addressing the crowd and creating energy in the room. The band’s genuine energy on stage uplifted the performance, leaving the audience invested in the members as well as the music. - The Daily UW
