BandCountryChristian

My music is revolving. I write not only Country pop but also traditional country as well. I aspire to be creatively different in each song that I write. I want the listener to be taken on a different lyrical and melodic drive with each spin of my songs!

Biography

I love to write contagious hooks! The kind people willingly love to have stick in their heads. The kind people find themselves humming or singing as they go about their daily lives. I want people to feel full of joy when they hear and sing my songs. Remember you are never too old or young to have your dreams come to life. Never let anyone tell you that your dreams can't be seen!

Lyrics

Gone Fishin'

Written By: Cheryl Lynn Moore

Verse 1
When I was a young girl
My Daddy Jack would take me
down to the bridge to fish
He taught me how to cast my line
the fish were bitin' mighty fine
Hmmm...those were the days

Chorus
I've gone fishin'
I've been told
This little girl
She can't hold her own
I've gone fishin'
Just you wait and see
I'm pullin' in a catch and he's gonna marry me

Verse 2
I'm a little older now
It's time for me to settle down
And start a family
So I'm lookin' to the deep blue sea
to find the other half of me
I'm anglin for the last time

Chorus
I've gone fishin'
I've been told
This little girl
She can't hold her own
I've gone fishin'
Just you wait and see
I'm pullin' in a catch and he's gonna marry me

Bridge
Who says girls don't know how to fish
Who says girls can't cast worth a flip
Who says girls can't bait their own hook
This girl knows how to fish
This girls gonna get her wish
Chorus
I've gone fishin'
I've been told
This little girl
She can't hold her own
I've gone fishin'
Just you wait and see
I'm pullin' in a catch and he's gonna marry me

I don't need you anymore

Written By: Cheryl Lynn Moore

Verse 1
Don't ya come knockin' on my door
Cuz I don't need you coming round here no more
Don't ya come crawlin' on your knees
Oh just beggin' me baby, Oh please, please, please
I don't want to hear your name
I don't want to play your games
I won't let you defeat me
Cuz boy you don't complete me

Chorus
I don't want you anymore
I don't need you anymore
I'm gonna be somebody who does what's right
And makes a difference in this girls life
Well the time has come for change
And I'm going to rearrange
No more feelin' oh so strange
I don't need you anymore

Verse 2
Well you've seen it comin' for way too long
Don't pretend with me honey that nothin's been wrong
You act like it's such a surprise, oh my
Cryin' me a river that never runs dry
I can see your baby blues
Feelin' sorry for the news
Your old tricks won't change my mind
I'm through now with your kind

Chorus

Bridge
Dum dee dee dee, da dum dee dee
Repeat

Why did I believe your lies for so long
Tellin' me I'd be nothing without you
When all along you were oh-so-wrong
Cuz I'm likin' the me without YOU!

Bridge 2
Bye, bye, bye baby good-bye
Bye, bye, bye, bye
Baby good-bye
Repeat

Chorus 2
I don't want you anymore
I don't need you anymore
I don't want you anymore
I don't need you anymore

Bridge 3
Bye, bye, bye baby good-bye
Bye, bye, bye, bye
Baby good-bye
Repeat

Blame it on me

Written By: Cheryl Lynn Moore

Verse 1
There you go again
Sayin' you're givin' up
Tellin' your story
About what went wrong
There you go again
Talkin' that same old talk
You're tellin' everyone
We aren't working out

Chorus
Go ahead and blame it on me
I'll take the fall
For what didn't work out
Go ahead
If it makes you feel better
I'll be the one
You can blame it on me

Verse 2
It's been years
Years of this comin'
You've never believed
That we could be blessed
You know I've tried
To make things all better
But you got your mind set
Set on gettin' out

Chorus

Bridge
Sometimes you have to go away
In order to come back again
Sometimes you have to make your way to come back home again

Bridge 2
So I'm lettin' you go
Go on with your life
Although I still love you
I pray you'll come back to me

Chorus

Tag
Oh, I'll be the one
You can blame it on me
repeat

Just Hold On

Written By: Cheryl Lynn Moore

V1
Don't look back, over your shoulder
You know this world may let you down
Just keep holding on, taking one day at a time
Because the best is yet to come

Pre-chorus
You've got to let your heart reach out and take hold of your dream
Don't let somebody tell you, what you dream can't be seen

Chorus
Just Hold on
Don't let nobody tell you what you dream can't be done
Just believe
It's never too late, to do that something great...just hold on

V2
You say you're getting older now, life's been kind of hard
You aren't where you thought that you'd be
Well, it's time to pull your self up, and start right where you are
You still got a lifetime ahead of you

Pre-chorus
Why don't you let your heart reach out and take hold of your dream, don't let somebody tell you, what you dream can't be seen

Chorus

Optional bridge;

Like the woman who's been told, she's too old to have a child
But she held onto her dream and now all of heaven is rejoicing, as she's holding her baby in her arms

Chorus (repeat)
tag: It's never too late now, it's never too late right now, no it's never too late...to do that something great...just hold on

Who I am

Written By: Cheryl Lynn Moore

Who I am

Verse 1

Why do people ask me?
Who I am and what I’ve done
It seems to be the question
I’m most asked

But I am not defined by what
People may think about me
Fame is fleeting but who I am
Will be my legacy

Chorus
And Now,
I’m living for today
But reaching for tomorrow
My dreams have just begun
I vow
That nothing will hold me back
From doing what is right
And all the world will see that
this is who I am

Verse 2

I will not let yesterday
Tell me who I am today
Everyone deserves a second chance

There will always be someone
Who is better than me
So I celebrate who I am
There is only one of me

Chorus

BRIDGE
Look at me now
I’m living my dream, I never let go-of all I believed!
